The series Anne with an E was originally called Anne when the first season of the show was launched. This show is based on a novel Anne of the Green Gables. This series is mainly a Canadian Drama television show and the writer of the novel is Lucy Montgomery.

This also had another writer as well as producer, who is an Emmy Award holder Moira Walley-Beckett. The show airs on CBC in Canada region and you can also stream it on Netflix. The series was first launched on 19th March 2017. The fans of the show are really happy hearing the news of a new season of the amazing ongoing series.

The news of a new season is not good for the fans of the series. On 25th November 2019, it was announced that the third season is going to be the last season of the show. Both CBC and Netflix said that they felt amazing that they both could together bring this beautiful show to its audience. They were very thankful to Miranda de Pencier and Moira Walley -Beckett along with the cast and crew to bring this story for the new generation.

But Beckett says that she would love to write a finale movie on Anne. So one last show is still on the table as other channels might show interest in taking up the story of Anne. Season 4 of the series came out on 3rd January 2020.
